This project in Maindy Park, a former railway yard in Cardiff, and has been devised to be the “Innovation Hub” for Cardiff University, to include shared spaces, labs and offices.

It will be an amalgamation of different cutting-edge facilities to bring together leading experts for treatment and research into conditions such as Schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s.

There are multiple buildings in this project including the Hadyn Ellis Building which is leading research into Schizophrenia, the Cardiff University Brain Research Imagine Centre housing SPARK the worlds first social science research park, the Innovation Centre creating an area for start up companies and the Translational Research Facility which will home two world leading scientific research establishments – the Institute for Compound Semiconductors and Cardiff Catalysis Institute.

The Innovation Centre will house shared spaces, labs, serviced offices in a 12,000m2 building, which also will allow for access to the University.

The Innovation Hub will also include cafes, creative areas, public open spaces and car parking for ease of access.
