Chartist Tower is being transformed by its owners Garrison Barclay Estates into a 154 bed 4 star hotel with restaurant.

This has been made possible by a £2 million injection from the Welsh Government via the TRI programme and the rest from tourism funding.

This will be a total regeneration of the 1960s previous office building with 30,000sq ft of office space and 18,000sq ft of retail space.

The hotel will be a Mercure branded hotel with 154 beds, gym, sauna, breakfast room and roof top restaurant, with views of the city.

This is due to open in early 2020 in Newport City Centre.
